Overview
Introduction
Ruff Day Vet is an acupuncture and rehabilitation practice located by the Narrows Bridge in Gig Harbor, WA. I am a Certified Veterinary Acupuncture Therapist (CVAT), and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT), trained by the Canine Rehabilitation Institute (CRI).
I am dedicated to the practice of high quality, evidence based medicine, and I design my treatment plans as a complement to traditional Western therapies, rather than an alternative. I refer all cases back to you when I have lab work or imaging recommendations, and I will keep you updated on your patient’s progress throughout treatment.

Shock Wave
What is Shock Wave?
Shock Wave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment option for musculoskeletal conditions that cause pain and dysfunction. It encourages bone, tendon, and ligament healing through increased expression of cytokines and growth factors. Ongoing research is still trying to determine exactly how shock wave is promoting analgesia, however multiple studies have demonstrated benefits to long-term comfort with musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis and joint instability.

REFERRAL FORM
In most cases, having your staff send all records, lab work, and imaging reports to vet@ruffday.vet gives me all the information I need to get started with your patient. Some patients are extra complicated, or you may have specific requests about a case you are sending my way. You can submit this easy online referral form for these extra-special circumstances.
